You may be wondering about the mention of alternative launch sites on our website, or where your flight could get moved to from your booking confirmation.
These sites are designated to maximise the opportunity to fly under certain conditions affecting your primary launch site. Let's cover these nifty secondary sites that help keep your adventure on track!
Back-Up Sites Are Your Flight's Best Friend
Think of back-up sites as our Plan B - they're alternative locations we might use to make sure your flight takes off smoothly. These spots are typically within a short 30-minute drive from your original launch site, give or take a bit depending on where you are.
Don't worry, we've got you covered! All the possible back-up sites for your adventure are listed in your booking confirmation. It's like a little treasure map of potential take-off spots!
How do I check which back-up sites I have for my booking?
Your alternative launch sites are listed in your 'Booking Confirmation' email under the 'Your flight could get moved to' section. Each site has a clickable link which will give you further details on directions, meeting points and other handy information to help you find your way.
Why Might We Move Your Flight?
Great question! There are a few reasons why we might need to switch things up:
- 🌦️ The weather at the original site isn't playing nice
- 🧭 The wind direction isn't ideal (we don't want to float towards restricted areas or out to sea!)
- 🚫 The original site becomes unavailable or unsafe
Safety first, as always!
How Will You Know If There's a Change?
If we need to move your flight, your awesome pilot will let you know through the Flight Information Line. They'll also give you a heads up about any adjustments to your meeting time.
Be Prepared, Be Excited!
It's a good idea to have maps and directions ready for all potential launch sites. This way, you're all set no matter where the wind takes us!
Remember, if we do move to a back-up site, it's important that you join us there. If you can't make it, your voucher will become invalid, and you'll need to get a new one to fly. We'd hate for you to miss out on the fun!
